Boulder and his sisters came to us when their owners needed help finding them loving homes. Born in late February 2024, Boulder is full of puppy fun! He walks well on a leash already and is learning sit & down. He loves to play and chew on sticks or his Bark Box toys. Boulder is going to be a big guy when he finishes growing, so his new family needs to be prepared for that. He seems great with the other dogs and is fine with cats at the shelter too. Boulder is ready to get out of the shelter and start meeting people and going places - so much to do and see!! Are you the right match for our big, sweet boy? Come and meet him and we will see!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
