My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Email for details:
Saphire is available for adoption in a foster home. If you're interested
in adopting, please email us at escadoptions@sdhumane.org

How Saphire arrived:
Saphire was brought in by her previous owner on 6/26/24.

Why Saphire is the one for you:
Saphire is a lovely cat who enjoys daily lap time, purring and making biscuits. She often sits next to the computer for pets and eats dry senior food, with a special love for Temptations creamy purees. While she alerts to noises and hides when guests are over, she's playful and affectionate, rubbing against table and box edges. Though she doesn't sleep on the bed, she might with a single person. She also enjoys a chat early in the morning, adding a bit of charm to start the day..

At SDHS:
Saphire has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. This pet is now ready for her new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
