Meet King Cornbread! This 2-year-old light orange tabby is a real charmer, a big gangly boy at almost 15 pounds, and thoroughly enjoying his new indoor life.
Like good cornbread, he is sweet, not like that savory kind with red peppers no one wants at a potluck. (His words.) Like cornbread-that-shall-not-be-named*, he may look spicy, but isn't, he is the good kind. Get it? Sweet.
He loves giving kisses and will nudge your face when you talk to him. He likes a good chat, and his raspy meow is pretty endearing. He is very loving, enjoys the company of people, and strangers are just really new friends. He likes to follow you around, since behind left behind makes him a little sad.
At night, he likes to sleep by legs or feet and might come asking for kisses if you're still awake reading. While not a bold explorer, he quickly settled into his foster home and loves napping in the office window bed on work-from-home days.
King Cornbread is a huge fan of catnip - handing it over will send him into a frenzy trying to become one with it. His playful nature will likely shine more as he settles into his new home. He also adores a good session with a brush.
Overall, this is one heckuva a cat (just ask his foster mom, who has met more than a few cool cats), and he will be a wonderful companion in the right home.
*No offense if you like savory cornbread, King Cornbread would be happy to discuss the matter with you. Bring catnip.

He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested FeLV negative.
He needs a dental procedure to remove a cracked tooth and is FIV+ which simply means he has a lower immune system, but can live a normal, long life. FIV+ cats can live with negative cats as long as there is no fighting since FIV is passed via deep bite wounds. We're uncertain how he feels about dogs, children, or other cats; he should be in a home where there's no risk of cat fights, but grooming and sharing bowls are fine.
Adopters will receive an adoption package of goodies valued at around $100 if you visit one or both of our Petstore partners after adoption (Tabby & Jacks and All Paws).
Misfit Felines Inc is a foster based 501(c)3 rescue. All of our cats are in foster homes. The first step in the adoption process is to submit an application.
