Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name, age, breed: Sven, 2 years old, St. Bernard
Likes: Treats, Kibble
Dislikes: Strangers
Known Commands: Sit Down, wait, halt, shake
What would be the ideal home? Breed experienced owner who is willing to take on mandatory obedience training. No apartments due to noise and nervousness.
Good with other cats? Unknown - recommended no small critters
Good with dogs? Unknown - May possibly live with a dog of the same size/activity level
Good with children? Unknown - Adult only home and breed experienced recommended.
Personality: very loyal to those he bonds with, unsure with strangers
How long will it take to settle into a new environment? 2-3 weeks
Any special needs or traits an adopter should know? Sven is a good dog when you have become friends he is very stranger danger and will bark/ lunge so he wears the muzzle at this time. He pulls hard and would benefit from halti training and walking manners, he will need someone who is familiar with the breed and understands what the breed contains. He hasn`t shown food aggression but I think he could based on the breed and if he is in another home with a dog, he may start guarding high value items.
Medical: Anxiety treated with medications - FLUOXETINE
