Inez has quite the story for you! A nice couple had been feeding a stray cat for a while, when all of a sudden this cat dropped her teenage kittens off at their house! They needed some help getting mom and teens fixed so that’s when they reached out to us.Originally these 3 teens were slated for TNR and to be released back to their colony, but they were young and weren’t completely feral so we decided to take a chance on socializing them. It has been a long journey to get to this point, but they are now all friendly, cuddly cats!
Inez is a sweet black and white kitty who will need a patient adopter while she becomes comfortable with her new surroundings. She is ok with getting picked up, but it’s been a slow process, and she may be skittish with someone new. Hot Tip: Chick-fil-A chick fil nuggets are how her foster mom gained her trust! She loves to jump up on her foster mom’s back while she is brushing her teeth or washing her face, and she loves to lounge on the window sill in the sun! She’s not a fan of the other cats in her foster’s home so she would do best as an only cat, with older or no children.

We have an adoption application to learn a bit about the home our cats will be going to and the family's motivation for adoption and expectations about pet ownership. We also have an adoption contract, which includes a no declawing and indoor-only clause along with a vet promissory note that ensures you will continue with the medical care and spay/neuter if needed.
We DO NOT do any out of state adoptions except on the NC border on a case-by-case basis.
We require a donation of $120 for adoption of unaltered kittens with a PTV Contract. All kittens receive vaccine series and wormings as well as medical treatment as needed. The adopter is responsible for obtaining their rabies vaccine and spay/neuter if the kitten is not of age at the time of adoption. We can provide resources for low cost clinics that offer these services.
We ask a donation of $25 to adopt Career/barn cats.
We require a donation of at least $140 for adoption of Spayed/neutered cat.
Bonded pairs adoption donation is $200.

Our heart is in TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return of ferals), where cats are fixed, vaccinated, ear tipped, and allowed to live out their lives without reproducing. We are advocates for advancing legal and social acceptance of TNR in Hampton Roads. Our unique feral kitten socialization program has a 90% success rate in socializing feral-born kittens to become loving, in-home pets.
