After arriving at the shelter unable to bear weight on her hind legs, Georgia found herself on the county’s euthanasia list with a deadline just before the end of 2023.We knew we had to step in to save her so she could ring in the new year alive and full of hope and healing! This sweet girl hobbled out of the shelter and straight into our hearts.
Georgia had two ruptured cranial ligaments, which required bilateral orthopedic TPLO surgery on both of her knees to stabilize her stifle joints. It’s been a long road to recovery, but the joy on her face now as she rolls around in the grass, chases down toys and regains strength in her back legs shows the resilience we knew she had in her. Georgia is now looking for a forever family that will help her continue to recover her strength with walks, stretching and playing in a backyard. Unfortunately, she is not a huge fan of water therapy! Georgia is currently in a foster home where she has become fast friends with both of the foster’s young children. She is as gentle as she is sweet!
Georgia’s adoption fee includes her completed surgeries, completed veterinary exams, vaccines, spay and microchip, and her long term care will only require a daily joint supplement. Apply now, and we promise her bright blue eyes and happiest, biggest wiggle-butt will steal your heart. You will no doubt want to bring this sweet Georgia peach home! We are going to be highly selective about who adopts our dogs. Our adoption agreements have extensive guidelines and requirements regarding the care and handling of our dog from the time of adoption through the rest of the pet's life. If we do not feel that the home is a perfect fit for our dog or if we are not confident the potential adopters are capable of upholding our strict care guidelines, we will not adopt our dog to them.
