My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! I'm Bruno. I'm a young guy (2yr old) who has had a rough start to my life, but I am not letting that bring me down! Somehow I wound up at the Stanislaus County Shelter in Modesto, CA and because of space, was at risk of possibly losing my life. Thankfully the wonderful people at CBR saw my potential and lined everything up for me so that I could have a 2nd chance at finding my forever home!

I am currently in a foster home in Winters, CA with kids 17, 8 and 6 and I am wonderful with them! They have helped me get through some of my nervousness of being in a new place and I will forever be grateful to them, I am also dog friendly, and I have been told that I am a very chill, mellow and respectful boy! I am sometimes excited, but take direction well and know when to settle down.

Submit Application

Interview

You will be contacted via email for an interview if we need to clarify any questions on your application as well as a pre-approval process.

3.
Meet the Pet

We will set up a meet and greet with all humans in the home and the pet you’re interested in, then a meet and greet with any resident dogs.

4.
Home Check

Next we will conduct a virtual or in person home check and reference check.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

After that you will sign our adoption contract, pay our adoption fee, and take your new family member home!

We respond to applications within 7-10 days. Dogs do not go home upon first meet and greet.

Go meet their pets

We have various meeting opportunities in person at local events in Northern California and Southern California. Soem dogs may or may not present, but dogs will never be allowed to be adopted at these events or sent home with anyone other than their fosters. An application and official meet and greet will always be required. We are a 501c3 dog rescue that focuses on bully breeds. Most of our dogs have had either behavioral marks against them or medical issues. Our mission is to Reform the Dog Agenda through intentional rescue & educating the community.
