Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Clover is a 2 year old female Mini Aussie that weighs 38 lbs. She has a sleek coat that is red tri color. Breed: She is dog selective and good with kids and cats. She is friendly, house-trained, and leash trained. She is being fostered in Brentwood, CA (Nor Cal - East SF Bay Area)
Meet Clover, a charming young Mini Aussie who is looking for her forever home! Clover was found as a stray, with significant sun-bleaching on her fur from spending too much time outdoors. She can be a bit shy and is particularly sensitive to loud noises and raised voices, even from another room. The sound of a bug zapper once scared her so much that she shook for hours even after it was unplugged. Despite her initial shyness, Clover is incredibly affectionate and loves to be by her foster mom's side. She's a true lap dog, always eager to climb into her foster mom's lap or be picked up, even during outdoor playtime. Clover adores cuddling and has not taken well to crate training due to her fear of gates and bars. Instead, she sleeps on her foster mom's bed and needs to be always touching her foster mom during the night.
Clover is a delight on walks, staying close and not pulling on the leash, though she does like to zigzag around to sniff interesting scents. She has a sleek, slinky build and enjoys staying low to the ground while exploring. When she feels safe, Clover's playful side shines through and both her posture and ears perk up. She loves playing with other dogs, especially if they join in her enthusiasm for endless play bows, friendly sneezes, spins, jumps, and trots. Orange toys are her favorite, particularly her orange squeaky toy and ball.
While Clover is generally friendly with other dogs and cats, she has shown a preference for avoiding large dogs and doesn't like to be disturbed while sleeping. She may chase the cat if it runs but only to sniff it before returning to her foster mom. Clover can be quite sassy, sometimes going "dead weight" when she doesn't want to do something, like getting vaccines or coming inside from playing. Clover has a sweet and friendly disposition that charms everyone she meets. She's mostly quiet, only barking at a particular large dog she doesn't like. While she has a lower energy level overall, she enjoys bursts of high-energy play in a fenced yard.
Clover would thrive in a home with another young dog or two to play with but prefers to be the only "Velcro dog" and loves to claim her foster mom's lap. If you're looking for a sweet, sassy, and affectionate companion, Clover might be the perfect fit for your home. Come meet this adorable little pup and see if she can steal your heart as she has stolen ours! Meet and greets will be set once applications have been received. Clover will be ready to go to her forever home as soon as she has medical clearance from the vet! Adopt: https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application
There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to her new furever family.
