My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please check here for updated adoption hours.

I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.

I prefer to call the shots and enjoy coming to you when I'm ready for pets.

Cheek and chin scratches make me so happy!

I have been known to shower my favorite people in love!

I love getting pets and - you guessed it - snuggles!

I may enjoy casually batting at a toy mouse every now and then, but my favorite activity is snuggling on my favorite person's lap!

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Rocket interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience.

A volunteer writes: Well, Rocket will very easily launch himself into your heart. This three-year-old young man is a beautiful ginger who'll call for attention in a voice that's simultaneously imperious and plaintive. He has a lot to say but really just wants to talk his way into your arms. Rocket does not enjoy the company of other cats, however. Reportedly, their presence can irritate him to the point that he can get a little fresh with the humans he otherwise loves to cuddle. This is a cat who should rule his realm without other feline pretenders to the throne.
