Hi, I`m Alfred, but you can call me Alfie! My owner had to give me up recently, so I am looking for a new home! I`m currently in foster care, and my foster mom has tons of good information to share about me.
`Alfie may be nearly 15 years old, but he doesn`t act like it! He is on a special diet to keep him healthy, but other than that he is in good shape for his age. His recent dental made him much happier! He still has a lot of energy and loves to go on walks or explore the backyard. He is very social and loves to be with his favorite people. He will join you on a chair, or in your bed if you let him! He doesn`t like to be left alone or to be crated (he can be vocal about his displeasure when alone), but he will happily sleep in an open crate all by himself most nights. He is mostly housebroken, but a belly band helps him remember his manners in the house! He does well with older kids and likes other dogs.`

The West Suburban Humane Society (WSHS) is a volunteer-based, no-kill animal rescue that was founded in 1972 in the western suburbs of Chicago. WSHS now finds homes for more than 500 dogs and cats each year!
WSHS is 100% funded by individual, corporate, and private foundations donations, and has over 450 active volunteers! WSHS is caring for about 200 animals at any given time.
