My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

A SWEET & ADORABLE LITTLE DUDE:  Approx. 2 years old / Approx. 18 lbs.

Hi, my name’s Joshua!  Mostly Mutts rescued me from animal control which makes me very happy!  I am cozying up to the volunteers as I wait to meet my new family – hopefully very soon!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I haven’t met other dogs at Mostly Mutts yet, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I haven’t met kids yet at Mostly Mutts, so let’s meet and best no toddlers that I may bump over or that may fall on me.

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  I am as sweet and friendly as I am cute!  I was initially a bit scared when I arrived at the shelter, but the volunteers showed me lots of love, which helped me a lot!  Now, I’m known as a sweet, cuddly, and smiley guy who is grateful for the attention that comes my way.  I even got a bit jealous when another dog was getting attention instead of me – lol. I can be a little talkative at times, so it’s best I don’t live in an apartment/condo type home. / My energy level is 3-5.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I'm in the Mostly Mutts University training program and look forward to learning lots of things with my trainer. Check back to see my progress soon. / My crate manners are good at Mostly Mutts. / I've been having some accidents on the shelter schedule, so please continue to be consistent with me on a good schedule, so I can master my potty skills.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I am a true lap dog who enjoys a loving spot in your lap so I can collect ALL the cuddles.  My interest in toys is growing, so I bet we can have great play sessions together. Let’s discover lots more that we enjoy doing together! / I can’t think of any dislikes but I’m sure I wouldn’t like it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I'm current on vaccinations, micro-chipped and neutered.

I am looking for a wonderful furever home with a loving family!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse
