My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Frank is a mixed-breed dog and we cannot guarantee he is allergy-friendly.**

Meet Frank, aka Mr. Personality!

Frank is a 4-year-old cutie pie who is the epitome of a social butterfly. He wants to make friends with everyone he meets and is eager to crawl in your lap and cover you in kisses. He is the perfect little sidekick to be right by your side for whatever the day holds. Frank is fully grown and weighs about 10lbs.

Frank was found as a stray with his buddy, Beans, and brought to the local animal shelter. They both were in horrible condition and were covered in mats and foxtails. A local groomer offered her services, and now he feels much better with his new haircut. Frank and Beans are not bonded and we think they would do best being adopted separately. Frank likes Beans a lot more than Beans like Frank, haha.

Frank is a happy little man who loves to be the center of attention. His ideal day would be spent playing and cuddling with his favorite people and, of course, getting some yummy treats. He seems to have lived in a home before but doesn't seem to have had any training, so he will need a family committed to working on his basic manners with him.

Frank has done well with the other small dogs he has met but has a very forward way of saying hello, so he might be a little too much for older or more mellow dogs. We think he might like having another playful dog to romp around with, but he would probably love being your spoiled-only dog. Frank would do best in a kitty-free home. Frank currently lives with kids in his foster home and could be a wonderful addition to a family with kids 5 years or older.

Frank has been doing well with his housetraining, but his new family should keep an eye on him while he is adjusting to a new environment and routine. Frank has done well being crated at night but hasn't spent too much time at home alone. He would do best with a family that can slowly acclimate him to being home alone.

Due to his fur type, Beans requires frequent grooming. His new family should be prepared to pay for professional grooming or be willing to learn to ensure his coat is properly maintained.

Frank is such a sweet boy and we know his perfect family is out there. If you think that might be you, submit an adoption application today!

Frank's adoption fee is $350.

The Yolo County SPCA is a private, not-for-profit, foster home-based animal rescue organization and does not have a shelter. All our animals awaiting adoption are in foster homes.

Our adoption fees help us cover the cost of spay/neuter surgery, microchip and registration, and rabies vaccination (if over 4 months of age at intake or spay/neuter) for all animals. Dogs are tested for heartworm, started on preventatives, and given a DAPP vaccination. Adult dogs are up to date on their vaccinations prior to adoption. Puppies will be current on the vaccinations appropriate to their age. The adopter is responsible for additional vaccinations as necessary after the adoption.
