Here's what the humans have to say about me:
***These 3 puppies are located in Barrington, Rhode Island in foster care***
Simba, Mufasa, and Kiara are our Lion King litter who are looking for their forever homes!
These babies have not had it easy. They were born on the streets to unknown parents and have been fending for themselves since they were able to walk. The neighbors watched them grow but did not notify anybody about them until they were running in and out of the streets, barely missing from getting hit by cars.
We were able to get 1 of the puppies about 6 weeks ago but unfortunately these 4 were a bit more elusive so it took more time to catch them, but we did not give up!
We estimate they were born around April 5, 2024 and while we do not know who their parents are, we estimate they will stay around 35-40 lbs once full grown.
Simba is the smallest, longest and shortest one, we think he has some dachshund/bassett/corgi mix. He will stay much smaller than the other 3, we are estimating around 30 lbs once full grown. Mufasa is close behind him, only with slightly longer legs but still stubby and long.
Kiara has a bit longer of legs and will be on the bigger side of 40 lbs. Kiara is the friendliest of the 3 and has come around the quickest. She doesn’t mind being held and is super sweet and gentle.
These pups love you once they get to know you and trust you. The foster has spent a couple weeks with them and they’re already coming around and taking treats and getting love. They have been on the streets so long; they’re just learning that humans can be good and can be trusted.
They are a bit timid at first and will need a medium to quite calm household that has patience and understanding that they have not had an easy life to start off with. They are still puppies, so they do have the puppy energy, but they are not overactive and would rather cuddle and be close to their humans.
Another dog in the household would truly help these babies as they do need to gain confidence. They love other dogs and get super excited when other ones are around.
As of right now, we are not recommending very young children as sudden and fast movements are very scary for them. If only they could talk and tell us what happened to them when they were younger so we could help better. They are at the prime age though where they can be socialized and given a chance at a beautiful life. They are almost scared of their own shadow sometimes.
They have met kitties and get along great with them. They’re more scared of the cats then the cats are of them.
If you can provide a safe, calm, loving, patient home for one of these sweet, gentle, calm, loving, adorable puppies, please consider applying today.
