Skye came to us from unusual 🤔 circumstances.

Skye's original owner asked an acquaintance to dog-sit while they were out of town. When they returned, they refused to take her back. They flat out said they just didn't want her anymore! (We strongly suspect her prior 'owner' was just done breeding her)

Not knowing what to do, the dog-sitter contacted us because they were not prepared to adopt a dog.

Skye is approximately 2️⃣ years old and a tiny little girl...just about 16 pounds😳.
She gets along with other dogs, but definitely prefers to be with her humans over another canines. Skye definitely prefers men 👨 to women 👩‍🦰. She barks at strangers, and seems to be have more reaction to strange women. She shows absolutely ZERO aggression, she just wants to let you know she sees 👀 you. Most likely Skye had an impactful negative experience with someone in her past.

Her foster mom says Skye is very 'go with the flow' and a little on the shy side. She does like to be right next to her person; a velcro type of Frenchie.

Skye will be ready for adoption once she is spayed. If you are interested in adopting Skye, please complete an adoption application through our linktree. Skye will be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped prior to adoption.

We do adopt out of state with approved transportation 🚗. Rescue does not cover this cost.
