My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bee-Yonsay originally came into our care at the end of February with her 4 kittens as a transfer from another rescue.
Ever since she came in, she was VERY protective of her kittens and we could tell she hadn't had much socialization with humans as her lack of trust was very noticeable in her behavior. Bee-Yonsay is still learning how to build confidence and trust in humans and can be a little defensive at first approach if she doesn't know you so we highly recommend a patient and loving owner who understands her fear-based behavior even if it does come off unpleasant at first. She has the ability to really bloom and show her sweet side but she has had a rough time dealing with such a loud and public environment. If you are interested in giving this mama a second chance at a life in a calmer, and loving home, please ask staff more about her!

If you are interested in meeting Bee-Yonsay, please submit an application at www.valleyanimal.org

At Valley Animal Center our mission is to unite dogs and cats with loving people.

More about this shelter

Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.

We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.

Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
