7/5/24-UPDATE-Soldiers foster family in Florida says he is very good with their very young children. He will need some work on house training and leash walking but they are working with him on those issues. As a pet he is friendly and sweet. He likes playing with the other beagle in the home. He is moderately active in the house. He sleeps through the night in his crate.
Soldier has a happy, fun-loving personality and he is really versatile. He gets along great with small children, other dogs both big and small, cats, chickens and cows!! His foster family in Alabama has really enjoyed having him. He loves affection and cuddly toys and so far is doing well with house training (he is allowed outside often). Soldier was wandering down a country road and was picked up by a kind family who saw him. There were very few houses but they stopped to see if they could find where he belonged. No one claimed him and they were going to have to continue there trip and couldn't keep him with them. Finally they found a family who said they would hang on to him temporarily while he continued searching for a safe place for him. Fortunately he contacted us and we made arrangements for Soldier's vetting and transport to Florida. He is heartworm negative and will be ready to meet his forever family after July 4th.
