My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say Hello to Sweet Brenda (also known as Dolly or Dolly Lllama as she has very long legs that look like a llama). This cute 5-year-old Lhasa Apso mix is looking for her forever home. She came into the shelter as a stray and unbelievably she was not reclaimed. Her first few days were very sad as she cried at the front door wanting to go home. She is very reluctantly crate trained but prefers to be with her human. She loves to cuddle next to you in bed.

Dolly is fully house trained. She also loves food….she loves food so much that she dances while begging! We’ve been working on no begging, but the process is slow as this is a very stubborn lady!

Dolly likes to wander and doesn’t like to come when called….we’ve been working on her recall and there has been improvement. When she is with my dogs, she recalls 100% of the time. On her own is another story….due to this Dolly will always need be leashed and watched carefully while doors are opening. Continued training would benefit her greatly.

Once introduced, Dolly loves other dogs and would benefit from a brother or sister but would also be fine as an only dog. Dolly will bark and does show some stranger danger, but once a treat is given and shown her family is okay you will make fast friends. Dolly is fine being a couch potato but loves going bye-bye on walks or in the car.

This sweet girl will immediately charm you with her quirky personality. She is both a doll and a lot of fun.

Brenda has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm, had a recent dental cleaning with extractions, and is microchipped.
