Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Queso is ready to put his hat back in the ring and find his perfect forever family. About 8-month-old Queso came to UAAF from a hoarding situation and was adopted about 2 months ago. His first try wasn’t successful and he wasn’t ever able to settle into a routine and get over his nervousness. While Queso can be skittish and a bit on edge at first, he warms up incredibly quickly once he knows he is safe. His current foster family says that, though nervous about new things, they would actually call him incredibly brave and, of all the fosters they have had, Queso has been the quickest to leave his past behind him and move forward with trust, confidence, and a hilarious personality.
Queso is a total love bug and though he has not had much consistency in his short life, he is ready and willing to give you his whole heart. Queso loves playing with toys, playing chase and race with his fur siblings, and just relaxing on the couch.
Even though he is still a puppy, Queso has not displayed any chewing or destructive behaviors with his current foster family. He is still working on potty training but the couple of accidents he has had have been right by the back door; So he is definitely getting there.
Queso would do best in a relatively quiet, low stress home as he is particularly sensitive to yelling or being chased by people as he had some negative experiences with that in the past. Though he loves running around in his big yard, Queso could also be comfortable in an apartment with the right family. Queso LOVES his fur siblings and has a nice neutral demeanor and good canine communication skills. He seems to get a ton of comfort and confidence from being in a little pack so he would love at least one sister or brother.
Queso has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped.
