Meet Mando, a charming adult canine resident of our shelter. His sweetness is as palpable as a sugar-coated candy, warming hearts with his gentle demeanor. Mando is also remarkably smart, often impressing us with his ability to understand commands and solve little puzzles we set for him. But beneath his intelligence and sweetness, there`s a shy side to Mando. He takes a little time to open up, but once he does, he`s your loyal friend for life. We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
