Florence is a nine-year-old, 11-pound Chihuahua mix who is looking for her
forever home. When she arrived at Home Fur Good, she suffered from
severe dental disease, but after receiving much-needed dental work, she’s
doing wonderfully. Though she now has fewer teeth, Florence’s love for
treats remains undiminished. String cheese is her absolute favorite, and
she’ll give you an adorable little wag when she spots it in your hand.
Florence is a gentle and cautious explorer of the world around her. Shy by
nature, she appreciates slow movements and prefers to approach people
at her own pace. Once she feels comfortable, she will seek affection by
placing her head in your lap, a gesture that is truly irresistible.
This sweet girl will thrive in a low-key environment with patient and
understanding individuals. With the right care and attention, Florence will
blossom into a loving and loyal companion. Her adoption fee of $150
includes essential services such as spaying/neutering, vaccinations,
microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain

If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
