My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jovi is a wonderful, handsome, young kitty. He was born around Nov 11, 2023. He is totally vetted. His current rescue person has cancer and we are placing all of the fur babies that she has raised this past winter. His mom was abandoned in the apartment complex and he was pulled into a nice warm apartment when he was about 5 weeks old. Over these few months, I have heard some cute stories about his personality that make me LOL

Perfect litter box manners and fully vetted as in neuter, flea prevention, shots, rabies shot too and dewormed.

An adoption donation will be accepted, but normal fees are waived due to a generous sponsorship program. Fees are waived but you still must have an approved application from our rescue to be able to adopt.

If you can provide them a great, forever, home, please contact Lexi Lambert at Fluffyfurmiliars@gmail.com or call 859.380.9045 and we will be happy to send you an application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

First, complete the online application and email the completed applicaiton to wilson.animal.rescue@fuse.net . The first step in our adoption process is to receive a completed on-line application. We will ask for a vet reference for cat or dog adoption. If the client lives in an apartment, the pet policy is confirmed with the landlord. Applications are normally procesed within 48 hours. If accepted, an appointment is made to go visit the foster home. Once accepted the person can normally adopt any of the pets in our program. If the client bonds with a pet, a contract is signed. Adoption fees vary by pet but is normally printed in the animal description.

Go meet their pets

To adopt from us, please email us at wilson.animal.rescue@fuse.net and we will email you the on-line application. Our rescues are housed in various foster homes in Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati so the first step in our adoption process is for you to complete the on-line application. Once we receive your application, we normally respond to you within 48 hours. If we have a good match, you are then invited to come over to the foster home/s and see if this is a forever match. We will ask for a vet reference for cat or dog adoption and we will do a home visit to check the fencing if you are interested in adopting a dog.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit (501 (c)(3), group of foster family volunteers who strive to provide assistance for highly adoptable, unwanted, lost and neglected animals by providing humane education, veterinary care, animal rescue and by actively encouraging pet population control through spay and neuter.

Once we take in a pet that has been surrendered, they go to a foster home to wait for their forever family. They live with our families, our pets, and our children.

All of our pets are spayed or neutered before adoption or have such certificate to get it done for free. We also start immunizations on puppies and kittens at 8 weeks. We deworm, deflea, and treat for ear mites. We also Fel Leuk/FIV blood test our kitties and Heartworm test our dogs.

All of our cats and kittens must be adopted as strictly indoor. All of our dogs and puppies must be adopted as a *housedog only and we do require a secure fenced in yard. No chains or outdoor kennels allowed.

We do rescue work with pets because we value life. As humans we domesticated cats and dogs and our society needs to take ownership to treat them with respect. We also see a need to teach people the proper handling of pets and the value of spay/neuter. Pet ownership is a privilege and a life long commitment.
