Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Meet Buster!
Buster was rescued from Stanislaus Shelter in Modesto where he landed on the euthanasia list, simply due to time and space. Buster arrived with another male dog, and tested well with dogs while at the shelter. He went to a temp foster with 2 other dogs.
Buster is currently being treated for eye conjunctivitis. He is a big boy at over 100 lbs and could stand to lose some pounds to get to a healthier weight! He is listed at 11 years old, which we know to be close to his right age as he was adopted from the shelter originally around the age of 1-2 years old (owners never reclaimed).
Buster is moderate energy; housetrained, would thrive with daily walks, and is respectful of baby gates if you want to separate him in the house for any reason. We would recommend an adult only home for Buster, or older teens ok.
$175 Adoption Donation includes vetting, neuter, rabies, dhpp, bordatella, microchipped and up to date on monthly preventatives
Buster is currently fostered in SACRAMENTO, CA
Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3. If it sounds like a potential match for you and the dog of interest, we will promptly set up a meet and greet at the foster home
Please note we are a foster-based rescue meaning our dogs are in individual foster homes throughout sac and the bay. For this reason we may only be able to schedule meets for one dog at a time (or litter). The average timeline between app submission and a meet and greet is 3-5 days. Please only submit an application for a specific dog if you are ready to adopt that animal within a week's time.
