Hi, my name is Luna! I'm available for adoption! I am currently in foster care. After you've read about me and think I sound like a good fit and you would like to meet me, please submit an adoption application to catterystaff@green-hill.org or in person at Greenhill Humane Society. Once Cattery staff has reviewed your application they will contact you to discuss next steps for arranging a meet and greet.
My foster parent has gotten to know me quite well, here are some things she's said about me... "She is comfortable coming up on the bed to chat and snuggle, although she has not yet found her way to my lap while I'm in the recliner. However, she will lay down beside the recliner or on the carpet. I find her very easy to be around her and have learned she has different 'meows' for different things, which having a conversation with her can be funny. Luna has free reign of the house and I have not encountered any problem with her scratching the furniture. However, I do have a cat tree which she loves that also has a scratching post which she uses daily. Luna especially likes the top tier of the cat tree as she can look out the window or nap with the sun on her."
Please read the questions and answers below to learn more about the type of home Luna is looking for...
Do you like other cats? I have lived with another cat in my last home, but I feared them. I would thrive best as the only cat in the home.
What do you think about living with a dog? I have no experience living with dogs, but I am a very quiet and shy girl, I think I would do best as the only pet in the home.
How do you feel about kids? I would probably do best with older cat savvy kids.
What was your previous home like? I previously lived indoors only with another cat.
What's your ideal home like? A loving, quiet indoor home with lots of time to adjust to my new space.
Is there anything else we should know about you? I am very shy, but also extremely sweet and affectionate. If you are looking for a sweet senior kitty to spoil, I might be the perfect fit for you! Ask cattery staff about my medical release! I am part of the "Love is Priceless" adoption promotion which means my adopter will establish my adoption fee. I hope to meet my purrfect match!

More about this shelter
Greenhill Humane Society has been caring for animals in Lane County since 1944. We operate the only animal shelter within the Eugene/Springfield area. Our programs include animal adoptions; reuniting lost animals with their families; disaster response; crisis care boarding in situations of domestic violence, medical emergencies, and other crisis situations; spay/neuter for free roaming, un-owned community cats; a pet pantry; on-site volunteer opportunities; foster care and humane education.
Last year, we helped reunite or find new loving homes for 2,826 animals. In addition, we provided 469 cat spay/neuter surgeries to assist cat caregivers in reducing feral cat over-population.
Greenhill is a private non-profit and relies on donations for a majority of its budget. The generosity of our local community enables us to provide a high level of care to lost, abandoned, and neglected animals while at the same time helping pet owners in need.
