My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pepper is a sweet male black kitten, born on April 19, 2024. He's a playful boy but is a little shy. From running and jumping with and on his littermates, to chasing his toys across the floor, you will never be bored with Pepper around. He has a lot of energy and enjoys getting pets, most oftentimes rewarding you with purrs as a thank you. Please consider giving Pepper the loving home he deserves. The adoption fee is $100. This covers the cost of spay/neuter, PVR, Rabies, flea, tick, ear mite and worm treatment. To adopt, you need to first fill out an application. Go to:

https://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org/cat-adoption-application/

We are located in Western North Carolina. Optional transport is weekly.  After your application is approved, we will contact you regarding cost and delivery if you so desire.

More about this shelter

Rutherford County Humane Society is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that has been serving Rutherford County since 1979, with the mission to significantly improve the lives of unwanted and neglected animals, and to measurably decrease this number through our spay and neuter programs, volunteer foster homes, and outreach and education. We are an independent organization that works in collaboration with other area animal advocacy groups. All of our efforts depend on our passionately compassionate volunteers, and financial support from the community. We have made the decision to use our resources to continue promoting the number one solution to our pet overpopulation problem - and that is spay/neuter. Our mailing address is still PO Box 998, Rutherfordton, NC 28139. Our website (http://rutherfordcountyhumanesociety.org) is always current, and you can contact us through the web. You will receive a prompt reply. We have adoptable pets posted on the site. If you need to find a home for a pet, you may contact us to have your pet posted on our website. We also post on Petfinders.com and PetAdoptionPortal.com.
