My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Terry! A shy sweetie just looking for a life of companionship. Terry appreciates slow and gradual introductions while he's adjusting to new people and places. As he settles in, his curiosity will get the better of him, and he'll cautiously start exploring. He'll also reveal that his favorite hobbies include playing with his beloved toy mouse, being petted, and birdwatching.

Terry is quite the little character. He's chatty and not afraid to let you know when he's hungry. His generous purr tells you how much he treasures your love and attention. Terry loves to stay close to his humans and get plenty of pets. At night, you'll often find him resting on the floor nearby. This well-mannered boy doesn't jump onto the kitchen counter or table and is great with the litter box. He's also a master at "hunting" wand toys, zooming, jumping, and tumbling with excitement. He has a fun and energetic spirit.

This little charmer brings so much joy every day! Terry is looking for a home where he can continue to blossom into his best self. Are you ready to give this sweet soul the loving home he deserves?

More about this rescue

Paws and Claws Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in the Chicagoland area dedicated to preventing, and alleviating the suffering caused by abuse, neglect, and overpopulation. We help dogs and cats mentally and physically heal, and give them a chance to find love, a full life, and a forever home.

Our focus is on rescuing orphaned neonatal kittens, nursing kittens with their feral mothers, under-socialized cats, and dogs who have been at Chicago Animal Care and Control for too long. We see ourselves as the crossing guards for these vulnerable animals, helping them get from their past, whether that be from a traumatic home, a kennel, or a euthanasia list, to a safe and kind human who will love them.
