Meet Ava!
My name is Ava and I’m a sweet, gentle gal. I have previously lived with other small dogs and am believed to be cat friendly too. I’m an 8 year old (birthday 4-16-16) lady and weigh 13 pounds. I am happy to curl up at your feet but also enjoy joining you on the couch for cuddles. I am exited for meal times and always grateful for a snack (especially cheddar cheese! ).
I’m in great health, but have not always received the best care in the past since I spent years in a puppy mill. Despite this, I am loving and sweet, but because of this will need an adopter who is patient. I would do best in a home with an existing dog to show me the ropes, or a family dedicated to helping me be confident and social. Big/energetic dogs and small children would not be a great fit and a fenced yard would be best while I learn how to walk on a leash.
I'd love to find myself a forever family who won't take my love for granted. I can be a bit shy initially but I’m also learning how fun it can be to be a dog. Are you willing to show me how to be an adored pup?

Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
