My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Incontinent

Poppy came into our care on January 2, 2024 as a 4 week old kitten with her sister Tulip (Felix). She had minimal use of her hind legs. As she grew, she regained the use of her hind legs and is able to run, climb and play and she truly loves life! She does have some weakness and she is incontinent, so she will need ongoing care with hygiene and will benefit with an experienced, committed adopter. More about this rescue

The Humane Society of Bay County is a volunteer organization. Monthly board meetings are open to the public and held the third Thursday of every month at 1607 Marquette Ave, Bay City at 6:30 pm

The Humane Society of Bay County was formed in November 1984 by a group of concerned citizens who recognized a need within our community. Since that time, the organization has acted as the animal advocate in our community. Your support continues to be our inspiration as we look forward to a future of improved welfare for all animals.

The Humane Society is a separate entity from Bay County Animal Control; however, the Humane Society is an advocate for shelter adoptions, and was a source of significant funding for building the Bay County Animal Control facility.
