My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Cali. I am 11 years old but you wouldn't know it by how excited I get when I see
my people come home. No worries though, I calm down quickly, especially if I get to eat. I love
food, thankfully I can maintain my girlish figure. I weigh about 20 lbs. I enjoy walking, going for a
car ride or just chilling on the sofa. I love chewing my nylabone. Those cute fuzzy toys aren't
tough enough for me. No crate needed, I am respectful and use the restroom outside like a
champ. My people let me out several times when they are home. If they are gone I wait until
they come back. I am a good girl but I have my quirks. I love attention, just me, you know like no
other dog exists. I can get along with other dogs unless you invade my space when I am eating
or chewing my bones. I love humans, I even try to hug you. I love to sleep in the bed, wrapped
under a blanket. You don't need a doorbell with me around, I will let you know when you have a
visitor, my foster mom says I can hear a gnat fart. Although I am an older gal, my health is fairly
well. I have this thing called a heart murmur. The Vet says it is a 3/6 level. Guess it's not too bad
because I don’t have to take any medicine since I don't have any concerning symptoms. I have
a BFF named Chloe. We came from a family that let us hang out together and even be
roommates. We would like to live together but if we find separate people that will be ok too. If I
am the girl for you please contact my foster mom. Her name is Renee, Boo or something like
that. She can answer any questions you may have. Adopting saves lives and every pet needs a
home! Thank you for your consideration.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption fee is generally based on the dog's age and provides for neutering or spaying, all required shots, heartworm testing (we endorse "the new moxie-doxy" treatment for heart worms).

It is our expectation & a requirement that heartworm preventative be continued as well as any required vet visits after the pet is adopted.

If for some reason a match isn't made the first time around and you are approved, we will keep your application on file for the next opportunity to arise. Our primary goal is to place a dog in the most suitable environment, based on the animal's individual needs and its temperament. The commitment is lifelong and the Boston's interests are always foremost.

More about this rescue

All breeds have their own particular needs and rescued pets often have special requirements as well, very often in want of medical care, often lacking nourishment and kindness, and often expensive to rehabilitate.

Because we have had Boston Terriers for many years, we are very familiar with their habits, peculiarities and their special needs.

We operate across the southeast under the auspices of the Boston Terrier Rescue Network. We share information and resources in all of the USA with affiliated Boston Rescues.
