What Darwin's foster has to say: Darwin is the absolute sweetest boy. He loves everyone. That includes people and other dogs. A staff member said he was shy at adoption events, but he is not shy at home. He loves to play. With dogs he wrestles and chases them all over the yard. With people he likes to chase balls that are thrown. He is still working on bringing the ball back. Darwin is a great cuddler. He loves to cuddle for a good nap and some affection. He also loves finding a comfortable place to lie near one of his people or pack mates. What Darwin loves more than anything though is to have his belly rubbed. He tends to roll over on his back and stick his chest out to encourage belly rubs when you walk by. I must admit I usually indulge him in at least a few pets because he is so cute with his request. Darwin is not aggressive with my cats, but my cats are old and uninteresting. He tends to play rough with his brother and my fear is Darwin might try to play a bit too rough with a more interesting cat. Darwin is great about going into his crate. Sometimes he even anticipates us and goes in without us telling him. He is so well behaved.

Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need.The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org.
