My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Leonora! I am a beautiful 8 year old smaller brindle girl that is looking for my forever home! I am most recognized by my key features of my tongue (almost always sticking out) and adorable ears! I am a medium energy girl that loves being around my human! I am gentle when taking treats from humans and loves giving kisses on any exposed skin (ex: feet, ankles, etc). I do have some arthritis in my hip that makes me walk with a limp but that does not stop me from occasionally getting the zoomies or enjoying going for walks! During my walks, I love taking in the smells of the world and will pull when I see cats or small animals.  It is suspected that in my previous life I was used to sleeping in a human bed or couch because that’s where I like to sleep and was upset the first couple of nights when I couldn’t sleep there with my foster mom. I will sleep on the dog bed with the resident dog too! I am able to be trusted and left to free roam the house during the day and night without any issues! If I absolutely must, I will go into the crate but I prefer to be out of it. I am house trained and am good about letting the humans know that I need to go out. I met my foster mom’s 2 year old niece and did really well with her, so having small humans in my forever home will not be an issue for me! I live with a 12 year old resident male boxer and although he isn’t in the ‘playful stage’, I still try! My foster mom believes I may be selective with other dogs so a proper meet and greet is recommended. I love chasing lizards in the yard, waking up early to make the most of my day, and being with the humans! If you are looking for a well mannered, interactive girl, here I am! Contact the rescue today and give them my name because I am waiting to meet you!
