Everest, the epitome of curiosity wrapped in a furry package, is a charming little fellow whose inquisitive nature knows no bounds. With a heartwarming gaze that seems to peer directly into your soul, he effortlessly melts hearts and beckons for affection.

While Everest may not be the biggest fan of being cradled in your arms, his affinity for gentle pets is undeniable, often enticing him to saunter over for a round of affectionate strokes. Thriving on interaction, he basks in the spotlight of attention, eagerly embracing every opportunity for playful engagement and lively amusement with his siblings. Whether chasing after elusive toys or playing with his siblings, his zest for life shines through in every playful

Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
