UPDATE: Talia has had surgery for her cherry eye and is doing well!
Meet Talia! This sweet 6lbs Shitzu cross was abandoned at her groomer, and when no one came to pick her up, we welcomed her into our rescue with open arms. Talia has a cherry eye that will be surgically corrected next week. We are now accepting applications for her adoption, which will be reviewed the first week of July.
Here’s what her foster family says:
“ Talia is the sweetest little puppy, though she’s got a lot to learn! She loves her foster canine sister and feline brother, although she doesn’t really know much about personal space just yet - if she has a sibling in her forever home, they’ll need to be extra patient with this bundle of energy! She loves to cuddle, and will follow you everywhere. She has learned to go up and down stairs like a champ, although it was very scary at first and it took some encouragement from her canine foster sister. She is being crate trained slowly, and although she doesn’t love being alone in the crate, with a chew or a kong she settles down pretty quickly. She is very good at letting her foster family know when she needs to go via a lot of whining and running around and she’s super proud every time she goes in the yard! Very few accidents so far. She’s very curious and enjoys the grass, and would love a home with a fenced-in backyard. She’s learning to sit for treats, and is working on lying down. This pupper is looking for a family with a lot of energy and patience!”
Like any puppy, Talia will need training and consistency. Socialization and patience are also key to helping her thrive. If you’re interested in making Talia a part of your family, please apply.
