Description:
Sage is the tiniest in her litter and the only girl, but she plays the hardest of them all! She is a sweetheart who loves to play, wrestle and snuggle. She gets the zoomies and darts in and out of tunnels and tents and up and down tall cat trees. She is also very smart - she has been the first of her siblings to figure out interactive cat toys like how to roll the treat ball around to get the treats out. If you are sitting near her while she is playing, she likes to use you as "home base" and lay so she is touching you while she contemplates her next target or takes a breather. She will reach out to touch you if you are nearby and she wants attention or to play; she has a very quiet meow but uses it when she wants something. She loves to chase small mice toys if you throw them especially up to the top of a cat tree so she can run up and get it, then bring it down so you can throw it again. She would love to have a kitty friend in her forever home; if you’re looking for a friend for her, she and her brother Cosmos make a beautiful tabby pair!
Words to Describe Me: Sweet, smart, tiny but speedy, and playful
Favorite Place to Sleep: On a cat tree up high
Favorite Toy: Tunnels and boxes, wand toys, toys you throw for her to catch. She is a great hunter!
Kitty's Likes: Playing fetch with toy mice, being held close with her paws on your shoulder and hugged, full body pets
Kitty's Dislikes: not a fan of most wet foods (she prefers dry food)
Fastest Way to Get Me to Purr: Full body pets while I am taking a break from playing
Favorite Treat: Temptations and lickable treats (in a tube or in a bowl)
Job Title in Foster: Head of the Class
When I Grow Up, I Want to Be: A loved member of a family
Good with Cats: Likes cats given a proper introduction.
Good with Dogs: Unknown, but optimistic (Animal has not met any dogs.)
Good with Children: Can live with children over the age of 8
Companion Animal: Not necessary.
Health information: All cats and kittens will be spayed or neutered, FeLV / FIV tested (as indicated by age), receive vaccinations appropriate for age, preventative deworming, and microchipping prior to adoption as appropriate by age.
Sage tested positive for FeLV therefore would need to be in a home with other FeLV kitties (or adopt one of the other FeLV kitties in the rescue) or he can be your one and only boy. Saving One Life will provide veterinary care throughout this feline's life.
Adoption Process: Our adoptable animals are located at one of our adoption centers or in foster homes. We require interested parties to apply prior to meeting to ensure a good match. Applications can be submitted on our website at www.savingonelife.org/adopt/apply.
