Meet Gumbo, a tender soul rescued from a high-kill shelter just in time. Having spent nearly two months in the shelter, Gumbo has become very shut down, but he shows glimmers of hope when he's around other dogs. This super sweet boy has found a bit of confidence in the company of his canine friends, even though he's still very scared and withdrawn. Gumbo's fear has been so overwhelming that he has to be rolled out in a cart to go to play group because he's too shut down to walk on his own. He pancakes onto the floor, a clear sign that he needs someone with immense patience and love to help him find his way back to joy. Now, Gumbo is settling into a foster home with other friendly dogs and a loving family dedicated to helping him come out of his shell.
