"Hi there, Im Leo! I live up to my name by being super loyal to my people. I enjoy just about everything, but I sometimes get scared of new things Im not familiar with. I also am a little shy when it comes to meeting new people. But I warm up within minutes and can easily be won over if you let me approach you first. Treats help of course. Thanks to my awesome foster mom/ professional dog trainer, Im thriving at meeting new people and going all over the place to get the right exposure to become more confident. My foster mom describes me as goofy and sweet. I love to let loose around the backyard to do some zoomies. But I equally enjoy sleeping a lot inside on a dog bed. My foster mom has taught me all kinds of commands and basic obedience. I went through extensive training and I come fully on and off leash trained. I know: heel, sit, sit-stay, down, down-stay, come (from 50 feet away), spot command, and boundaries. Boundaries include in and out of a kennel, in and out of the door with auto sit on both sides and how to ride nicely in the car and when its appropriate to jump out of the car. I dont pull on the leash and can be walked by ANYONE! Im crate trained and potty trained too. On top of that, I get along with most dogs with proper introductions. I only get nervous if the other dog growls or barks at me first. But Id love a good playmate around my size. The only thing that my mom has to be aware of is I dont like to share my bones or food with other dogs. So its really important at I eat in my crate and am left alone to chew on my own bone. I have never showed any aggression towards humans over food or toys. I first was rescued by SBF in July of 2023. I was around 6 months old at the time and was found as a stray with my sister. We both had severe mange, which left us both bald and itchy. We started to get better and heal. My sister quickly got adopted. I now have all my hair back and Im super healthy. Im just looking for a family to call my own. If you think you are the right person/people for me, I hope you apply to adopt me before I get any older. I look forward to spending the rest of my life being your best friend!" Leo has completed his vet care and is ready to go to his forever home. His adoption fee has been fully sponsored ($0)! If you're interested in adopting, please submit an application at savedbyfate.org and we'll be in touch ASAP. A meet with any approved applicant's current pets and entire family will be required prior to starting the 2-week adoption trial period.
