In addition to chasing string and feathers, Gelato seems to like "bird tv".
He is currently in foster and recently met a new person and that went pretty well. Gelato was a bit shy but he chirped and rolled over to make air biscuits.
Here are some notes from our wonderful foster:
Gelato is skittish. He still holds back a little when I enter the room, but shortly comes for timid pats. He does warm up a lot and wants patting and brushing and play, but he's timid.
Gelato jumps at most small or unexpected noises and sometimes jumps when he sees unexpected objects.
Gelato seems to prefer being in a single room to being in the whole house. He likes some of the other rooms of the house and does settle in after a time. See the photos of him curling up on my lap and enjoying the couch in the living room, but Gelato seems most at ease in a single smaller single room.
Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. You can also submit an application online if I am in foster or you would like to save some time when you come visit. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.
