I'm Maximus, a gentle giant with lots of love to give! I may seem a little shy at first, but I promise I have a fun and playful side that will surely win you over. I am athletic and curious, approx. 7 years old, and my funny personality will bring lots of laughter and joy into your life.

I've had a rough start at life - I was at the shelter for almost a year starting to lose hope, and then was so excited to finally be adopted by a family and dog siblings! Unfortunately, my new family didn't work out and now I'm looking for my real happy forever after where I can finally experience security and know that I am safe and loved.

Even though I'm a sweet and gentle boy, I'm still working through some recent trauma from my time at the shelter and now from losing my recent family. I would love to find a single home where I can feel safe and protected, and where I can be the only dog for the time being. I know deep down I am a gentle giant and very affectionate, but I could really use some structure, stability, and positive reinforcement training to help me come out of my shell and blossom into your best friend and forever companion. Like most other large-breed dogs, I do have a bit of a prey drive, so I'd do best in a home without any cats or small animals. I'm so ready to find my forever home and be the best boy for you!
