My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Rooks is an energetic, athletic, and playful young dog who will do great in an active home. He’d love to join his future family on all their adventures! He’s proven to be friendly and outgoing with staff and volunteers. Sadly, the shelter is much harder on some dogs than others- it’s a loud, stressful environment, and Rooks is feeling the effects. We would love to see this vibrant young dog shine outside of the shelter!!

Here’s what one volunteer at the shelter had to say:

“Rooks is attentive and always looking back to check with his handler. Once he’s in the park and away from the noisy shelter, he’s a love bug. He knows ‘sit’ and ‘watch me’ and takes treats softly. He does well in a yard too.”

Rooks has shared his kennel with another PACC pup was playful and loved to roughhouse with her. When meeting other dogs in playgroup he’s been social, tolerant, and playful. He’d like to meet any resident dogs before heading home to make sure it’s a good fit.

Rooks will thrive with structure, training, and a savvy handler. He’s eager to please and deserves the chance to shine in a home environment. If you are interested in meeting Rooks please come to PACC and ask about him!
