Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Age: 2 years Weight: 60lbs Dogs? Possibly! I haven't met dogs at the shelter yet but staff feels that I would do well. Cats? Possibly! I don't have any reported history with cats. Kids? Possibly! I don't have any reported history with children.
About Me: The community in Chaffee County rallied around Drifter when he was posted online as a stray. Due to being a bit skittish, a local community member decided it would be best to set a dog trap in the hopes that Drifter would be caught. Luckily, the trap worked and Drifter was brought directly to us. Staff was able to evaluate him and treat any injuries he received while he was on the run. As he settled in to the shelter environment, staff was able to see his ever-growing personality begin to show. He is sweet, loving, intelligent and playful. Although independent at times, he tends to find comfort in being near his people. We're excited for this new chapter in his life and hope that he finds his next home soon. Please stop by the shelter today to meet Drifter!
If interested in adopting me, please make sure to fill out an application prior to calling the office. https://www.ark-valley.org/adoption-matchmaker-application/ Please note most of our animals are in foster homes and appointments are required for meeting adoptable animals. This animal may have one or two breeds listed on its profile based on its physical characteristics, however our staff is never certain. The majority of animals that come through our shelter are mixed breed and have not had a breed test done.
