My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cinnamon is a loving, happy, and playful girl. She loves bones, balls, and going to the dog park. Cinnamon always looks like she is smiling and her tail is wagging, even when reprimanded. She loves to be petted and will get very close - right in your face nose to nose. She would benefit from further command and leash training. Cinnamon gets along with other dogs. Her comfort with cats and children is to be determined. We do have prior history that she has killed poultry while a stray, so caution is recommend with small animals. She was in fairly rough condition when pulled for rescue with multiple skin wounds from fleas and animals. Cinnamon was found to have ehrlichiosis (tick-borne disease) and treated for that. Cinnamon is also hw positive.

Update August 7, 2024 from Cinnamon's Tropical Storm Debby foster family:

Meet Cinnamon. She is believed to be a Great Pyrenees/Labrador mix. I am not going to lie, she is big90 lbs big. That is a small detail when I tell you how great she is. Cinnamon is sweeter and better behaved than any dog I have ever personally had.

~ Cinnamon doesnt jump on the furniture (even when invited).

~ No accidents in the house.

~ She took a bath without a struggle.

~ living harmoniously with grumpy cat. No issues or concerns.

~ Cinnamon has not barked once in 24 hours (so far).

~ Did great through the storm.

~ Eats properly, small amounts, no food aggression.

~ Extraordinarily gentle with my 8 year old child.

~ Does not beg.

~ Cinnamon does well on a leash.

~ Self entertaining and loves water.

This gentle giant needs a forever home. If you are even considering a new addition to your family, all the hard training parts are done.

Heartworm Information:

Cinnamon is Heartworm positive. Adopters should discuss heartworm protocols with their veterinarian to determine treatment

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is three-fold: submit an application, meet the pet, then arrange for us to do your in-home interview.
Adoption Fees:
Kittens: $60, Cats (1 year plus): $50, Puppies: $250, Adult Canines (1 to 6 years): $200, Seniors (7 years plus): $100 (unless otherwise specified). Adoption fees are not a tax-deductible donation as allowed by IRS regulations. Adoption fees help to offset the cost of the pet's care incurred by Coastal Pet Rescue, which are generally 2 to 3 times the adoption fee amount.
Some special circumstances may change the fee; see pet's listing for actual adoption fee.

All Coastal Pet Rescue pets are current on shots, microchipped* and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Adopters are responsible for any shots that may be due after adoption (particularly for kittens and puppies that must have three rounds of shots to be protected).

Microchip:
CPR has implanted a microchip as part of the adoption process and the chip is included in the adoption fee. However, some chip companies require a registration fee varying from $9.99 to $19.99. The registration fees are the responsibility of the adopter and are NOT included in the CPR adoption fee. Adopters may add this cost to their adoption fee to have CPR register the chip on their behalf.

30 Days Pet Insurance:
As a Petfinder member, all adopters are entitled to a free 30 day insurance policy through PetFirst. Coastal Pet Rescue is not responsible for this policy. Adopters must call PetFirst’s toll-free number 855-710-7387 to activate the coverage. If adopters fail to call, the policy will not be activated.

Our pets all live in our homes, so adoption applications must be submitted for appointments to be made to see the pets. We also have them with us at our outdoor events, so view our "events" calendar on our website for those dates and locations.
