Meet Princess, the shelter`s own perky bundle of joy! She`s young, vibrant, and overflowing with energy. Princess loves nothing more than to play, her enthusiasm infectious to all around her. She`s also a cuddle bug, always ready to snuggle up for some quality time and lots of petting. House trained and great with children, she`s a perfect addition to any family. Princess is a social butterfly too, eager to make friends with everyone she meets. She has no experience with other dogs but seems to want to play with ones she meets during walks. She is more than willing to lead the way on a leash. But be careful, she`s quite the escape artist, always ready to dash out the door for an adventure. Her zest for life is truly inspiring. She weighs 20 pounds and enjoys car rides, fetch, running, toys, walks, water, and chase. She knows the sit and fetch commands. If you`re looking for a loyal companion who will bring endless laughter and love into your life, then Princess is the one for you. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
