My name is Chip!

Update 10/12/24 - Chip had a great time at an adoption event at Tractor Supply today. Chip never meets a stranger, and he was thrilled to meet adults, kids, other dogs - you name it! He doesn't seem to have an aggressive bone in his body, and he handled the day like a champ! He has tons of energy for sure, but he also spent a good amount of time in his crate during the event and he would settle down nicely and just enjoy watching everything that was going on or playing with his blanket. With his bi-color eyes and adorable spotted snout, this handsome boy is going to be a real stunner as he matures. We also discovered that his favorite place to be is sitting right between your legs while you stand. It's the cutest thing ever! Come meet him at the shelter ASAP!

Chip is an adorable 7-8 month old pup who’s the last of his litter and full of boundless energy and curiosity. As a typical rambunctious puppy, he’s always up for playtime and adventure, making him a fantastic addition to any family ready for some puppy fun.

With a bit of positive reinforcement and patience, Chip has the potential to learn all sorts of new tricks and skills. Fun Fact about Chip! When he first arrived to the shelter with his siblings, him and another one of his siblings had gotten sick with the parvo virus a couple weeks after they arrived as it was in their system before they had came in. Madison Oglethorpe Animal Shelter is a non-profit shelter serving over 720 square miles. We are open intake, meaning we can not turn away animals from either county we serve. Our shelter intakes double or triple it's capacity every month so it is essential we place animals quickly into adoptive homes. Since so many animals enter the shelter we often don't have enough volunteers to write an individual bio for each. Please feel free to call the shelter Wednesday-Sunday to inquire about the animal you are interested in. 706-795-2868.

Viewing and adoption hours at our shelter are Wednesday through Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
All adoption fees include age-appropriate vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming, and spay or neuter, microchip, and adoption packet.
Fees:
Dogs over 6 months old: $100
Puppies under 6 months: $200.
Cats and Kittens are $75 ($65 without microchip).
