My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*PART OF A BONDED PAIR - PAIR MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER*

Bethany is a kitty of few words. A long hair tortie, Bethany truly exemplifies the term “tortitude.” Originally from a feral colony in Colchester, CT, Bethany and her sister Lydia have become the least feral cats her foster family has rehabilitated. Bethany is a calm soul who enjoys her days lazing by the window, watching the wildlife go by. However, once the toys come out, all bets are off. Bethany can play with the best of them! As cute as Bethany is, she really isn’t that much of a cuddler. Bethany very much enjoys her personal space and will spend time with you on her terms. That is not to say she doesn’t show affection like her foster siblings, she just chooses how and when it is appropriate, making every time she sits with you that much more special. Bethany has become a staple in her foster house, almost like she’s been there all along, and she is sure to cement herself as a member of your family in no time at all!

Bethany needs to be adopted with her sister, Lydia.

Bethany was born around May 1, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, is microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

Applications for adoption can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org.

Our volunteers do their best to respond within 24-48 hours.

Meet the Pet

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Thank you for your interest in adopting from Foster and Forever Pet Rescue!

NOTE: For the safety of our cats and adopter’s children, families with children under 5 years of age will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Go meet their pets

All of our pets reside in foster homes. We do not have a shelter. Once an application is approved (for any cat), arrangements can be made to meet the cat of your choice.

More about this rescue

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes. For additional information, visit our web site at www.fosterandforever.org, and be sure to check us out on Facebook and Instagram.
