Lydia is a gorgeous tuxedo cat with a heart full of love just waiting to share with her forever human. While she might be a little shy at first, once she warms up to you, she transforms into the ultimate snuggle buddy. Lydia adores attention and will happily curl up in your lap for cuddles.

This playful girl has a big personality, especially when it comes to mealtime. She’s very vocal about her love for wet food and will make sure you never forget when it’s time to eat! Lydia has a funny and endearing quirk—when she’s completely comfortable, she’ll perch on your shoulder like a parrot, making her a unique and charming companion.

Lydia does have a bit of a jealous streak when it comes to sharing attention, so she would thrive as an only cat or in a home with a mellow feline friend who won’t steal her spotlight.

Lydia was born around May 1, 2023, and is currently being fostered in Naugatuck. She is fixed, up-to-date on shots, is microchipped, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV.

All of our cats and kittens are cared for in loving foster homes. "Meet and Greets" can be arranged only after an application has been submitted and approved.

We are a foster-based rescue. All our cats reside in private homes. A meet-and-greet can be arranged for approved adopters only.

Additional adoption info

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application, which can be found on our website at www.fosterandforever.org. If all is well on your application, we will contact you about setting up a home visit by one of our volunteers.

**Please give your vet permission to release information to us as we check references.

The adoption fee for our cats covers the cost of spaying/neutering, age appropriate routine vaccinations, deworming, snap test, and flea preventive treatment. Some of our older cats are offered at a reduced fee in order to encourage placement in a permanent home.

Foster and Forever Pet Rescue Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue that was founded in 2011. We have been working since then to improve the lives of abandoned, abused and homeless animals by serving as an umbrella under which foster homes will provide care for homeless animals until loving permanent homes can be found.

We provide spay/neuter services and all necessary medical care, as well as food and supplies, and find foster homes to care for the animals we rescue until we are able to find them forever homes.
