My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Foamy was in the den facing away but made eye contact and was breathing slightly rapidly, sniffed treats and allowed petting with both the scratcher tool and the assessor's hand but didn't otherwise engage and at one point flinched slightly when the assessor's hand twitched.

Foamy interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in nervous cat behavior.

A volunteer writes: As a sweet senior cat, Foamy should be spending his days curled up on a sofa or sunning himself on a terrace. Instead, this gentleman is making the best of his new surroundings at the Care Center, where he arrived from his former home without much of a backstory. The Foamy we've gotten to know is a quiet, subdued, calm fellow with soft eyes and a warm demeanor. He appreciates human attention, tolerates all petting, and is basically an overall wonderful guy who isn't needy in any way. The one thing this elder cat does need, however, is a real home, one where he'll be appreciated for his excellent manners and affectionate ways. Be the human to make it happen for Foamy by meeting him at the Manhattan Care Center today.
