We are a matched based adoption agency, if you see a dog in our program in which you are interested in adopting, please fill out our online application at kcpaws.org and one of our adoptions counselors will be in touch once your application has been screened. Please note that we do require dogs to meet all members of the family including existing pets in the home before finalizing during your in home adoption.

Meet Tarot! A 5-7 year old long haired chihuahua looking for her forever home! Tarot was rescued from a horrific hoarding house/ neglect situation. Her and many other dogs were left abandoned in a small trailer home with no food or water and were living in mountains of trash. They nearly starved to death, luckily we were called to the scene and got them out in time. Tarot is now a healthy weight and ready for the next chapter of her life. Tarot gets along well with other dogs in daycare playgroups, however she LOVES human cuddles and when she's getting attention she doesn't really like to share her human with other dogs. So she would prefer to be an only dog to keep all the snuggles to herself. She is doing great on kennel training.

She can be shy at first with new people but once she knows she can trust you she is truly SO SWEET!

Please complete our online adoption application if you wish to apply for one of our adoptable pets. Adoption fees range from $125 to $350. All dogs adopted from PAWS come with 1 months of free day care at KCPaws All pets adopted from PAWS will be current on their vaccinations and spayed or neutered and microchipped prior to their release.

We are an organization determined to work for the benefit of animals in need. Whether it be helping to find new homes for our adoptable friends or working in connection with local and City agency's to investegate cases of cruelty and neglect. We have a large facility and staff that is able to handle a wide variety of these types of issues as well as working with animals with behavioral, socialization, or training issues.
