Meet Angel's baby Jude aka Benny. He went to what we thought was his forever home and they basically ignored his every need and traumatized him by keeping him crated way too much. This baby was born June 13th 2023. He is fostered in West TN but can be transported as far north as northern CT.
Benny is coming out of his shell. He is fantastic!
Benny progress. In 1 week he went from being terrified to ride to looking forward to his rides. He kennels into his seat for restraints, but we haven't tried kennel into his crate again yet. If you remember, he has crate anxiety. My hopes are that associating the rides he loves into his crate time will teach him that crate time is fun time for him.
Benny did the cutest thing yesterday. I wasn't getting his harness and leash on him fast enough. He attempted to jump off our bench into the harness. I might could teach him to jump through hoops with this knowledge. Benny is eager to please.
Benny is available for adoption. He is fully house trained and crate trained. He is borderline high energy. Exercise and interaction is a positive for him.
If you are interested in adopting, please visit funnyfarmpets.org where you can read all about our TN based rescue and how the adoption and transport process works and you can submit the application athttps://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FFRR/Dog

Additional adoption info
To adopt a pet from FFRR you must be at least 21 and submit an adoption application We contact references listed on your application. If you rent or live with another person, we must speak to your landlord or roomate to confirm that you have permission to have the pet you are applying for. We may also need to conduct a home visit to make sure the accommodations for the pet you are interested in are suitable. We do not allow any adopted pets to live on chains or any other tethering devices. Once approved you must complete a contract and pay the adoption fee. The majority of the pets are in TN and we only list them in the northern states at the transport meeting locations due to the low volume of dogs in the northern states

There is NOT a shelter to visit the pets.
Once your application is approved you will be put in contact with the foster parent to make sure it is a perfect match for both you and the pet. Most of these pets are still in foster homes in TN and will not travel north until their adoptions are finalized.

More about this rescue
Funny Farm Rescue Ranch is a non-profit, 501c3, all volunteer agency chartered by the State of TN. We take in pets that are unwanted, abandoned, abused, neglected, homeless or otherwise in need. We are not a shelter and do not have a shelter in NJ or any other northern state. Each of our pets is in a home with a volunteer foster parent and only leaves the foster home in TN to go to their "forever" home once they are fully vetted. Our goal is to reduce the pet overpopulation problem through spay/neuter, adoption and education.
