My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Foster or foster to adopt or adopter needed for CC

CC is getting kicked out to no fault of his own. Victim of the economy. Facts about him.

He will be 4 years in August

Weight 80 pounds

Housebroken  Yes
Up to date on shots? Yes all shot up to date

Is the dog on heartworm prevention? Yes he takes Simparica Trio
Is the dog crate trained? How long does he stay in a crate a day? No he is not in the crate. We leave him in the house and he does real good, he doesn't chew furniture.
Is the dog leash trained? Yes, he does pull sometimes
Does he/she have separation anxiety? No
How much exercise has the dog been getting? What kind of exercise? We try to take him on a walk every other day for at least 30 minutes, but sometimes he just dont have the time.
How is the dog meeting new people? He is really good with meeting people. He loves to be around people.

Has the dog been fine around kids? Down to what age? He hasn't been around smaller children, mostly kids 10 and older. He does like playing rough. So I wouldn't recommend small children.

How is the dog meeting new dogs?  He is good at meeting dogs at the dog park. He really likes running around. But he doesn't like very energetic dogs around him.
Does he/she go to the dog park? Yes but not as often as we would like to take him.
Do you know how he/she is with cats? No cats. He is not good with cats
Any medical issues? No,

Any temperament issues? No, he is very calm. He is really good and such a sweetheart.
He really isn't good at the groomers.

More about this rescue

Mission Statement and Objective
To find loving forever homes for adoptable German Shepherd Dogs placed in shelters, strays and owner turn-ins. Provide needed medical care, training and rehabilitation to neglected, abused or sick German Shepherd Dogs until they are ready for adoption.

Who We Are
The TBGSR is an all volunteer pet rescue organization for German Shepherd Dogs. All of our pets are spayed/neutered prior to adoption. They are up-to-date on all vaccinations and heartworm negative. We are dedicated to helping our adoptable animals find good homes where they will be safe, well cared for and loved for the rest of their lives. Caring for these animals allows us to learn more about their personalities and helps us to place them in a home best suited for them.

Volunteers
Tampa Bay German Shepherd Rescue welcomes volunteers. If you are a fan of the GSD, we need your help. Please contact us & let us know how you'd like to assist us.

Foster Homes Needed
We are always in the need of foster homes to house dogs that are going through medical care while getting them ready for adoption. The more wonderful families willing to foster a dog, the more wonderful German Shepherds we can save.

There is no shelter but a network of foster homes. This means we have to turn down dogs and can not pull dogs from shelters because available space is at such a premium. All dogs are spayed/neutered, wormed, treated for fleas, vaccinated and on heartworm preventative.

If you have some time, a little patience and alot of love to give, we need your help. PLEASE EMAIL US for more info.
