My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mimi is an stately queen that still has lots of love to give and lots of life to live. She had a stable home for many years, but the family dynamics changed, and she's been working to straighten her crown ever since. Mimi would do great with a retired couple, or an all adult home where she can reign supreme. She will not tolerate any other cats. Her royal highness likes to glare at a big dogs with disdain. They dare not look at her. A smaller dog might not be safe in her mighty presence unattended. She is NOT recommended to mix with youger children, even if they are "just visiting." She would do best put up in a bedroom while children visit or play. Although Mimi is a lover, she's a reactive cat, because of this she needs a calm, patient, and consistent person to wait for her to shower them with all her affection. Once she decides you're the one, she's all love and all tolerance. We highly recommend using classic Feliway diffusers to help this queen feel comfortable in her new abode. This has helped immensely in her transitioning to a foster home so far. Like most royalty she's got a delicate system and benefits from kitty kibble for sensitive stomachs. She'll also do almost anything for a Churu treat. She was once accustomed to sun bathing in the fenced back yard of her family, and might enjoy supervised outdoor time on a clear calm day. However, she's got old bones and needs a warm spot inside to cuddle on a soft squishy blanket at the end of the day.

All of our cats come spayed or neutered, microchipped, and with age-appropriate vaccinations. Senior cats have an adoption fee of $100. If you would like to apply to be a forever home for this cat, please fill out a statement of interest at www.alternativehumanesociety.com. Unless otherwise indicated, all our cats and kittens are best suited for indoor-only life.
