My name is Penny!

I'm a sweet and smart 8 year old dog who loves cuddling and lounging around. Rescued from a shelter 5 years ago, my family has trained me well—I know commands and am very intelligent. Unfortunately, I don't do well with other dogs or cats, possibly due to my hunting breed background. Last year, I was attacked by a neighbor's dog, which has made me nervous and reactive to sudden movements and loud noises. Recently, I bit my owner's son when he startled me by banging on the couch. While I live with a toddler and young kids, my family can't provide the constant supervision I need to prevent such incidents. They believe I would be happier in a home without other pets or children. Despite these challenges, I am adored by everyone who meets me. I am up to date on all my shots, recently checked and heartworm negative. I'm fully potty trained and stick to a regular schedule.
